The relationship of science to the treatment of patients and disease elimination is complex. Dentists work to promote oral health and restore tooth function. They are competent, caring, reflective practitioners who can consistently provide safe and effective care for patients in a primary care setting. This course combines the latest thinking in dental education with clinical experience. It aims to introduce students to the clinical aspects of dentistry and dental technology and show the relevance of basic science. Some of the areas this course will cover include head and neck anatomy; oral and craniofacial biology; patient examination and diagnosis; and teeth restoration.
Taught by renowned staff, students will be exposed to a rich breadth of skills and knowledge in a diverse clinical environment. Face-to-face teaching will be complemented and supported with innovative technology so that students also experience elements of digital learning and assessment.
