Medicine is a notoriously demanding and competitive field. This course aims at younger future doctors willing to explore the field of medicine and broaden participation in medicine by levelling the educational playing field.
Students will cover core scientific knowledge in medical sciences and anatomy. They will explore different career trajectories in the exciting fields of medicine and healthcare. The course will introduce them to core aspects of human anatomy and organ systems. Some key areas will include the digestive, cardiac and central nervous systems.
Students will also learn about organ transplants, peripheral nerves, and skeletal/muscle anatomy. This module will mix taught classes, problembased learning, practicals and self-directed learning. In addition, students will cover key topics in professionalism and communication and have learning set in a clinical context where appropriate.
