Psychology gives us the tools to investigate and understand human thought, action and behaviour. Combining a scientific approach with the ability to think creatively, it’s a subject that builds psychological literacy and strong practical skills that are essential for success in the workplace.
The course covers the core British Psychological Society content areas in psychology. Students will study social, developmental and cognitive psychology, individual differences, biological psychology, conceptual and historical issues, statistical analysis and research design. This course will detail the psychological mechanisms that underlie human behaviour and highlight the possibility that even our deepest thoughts and feelings arise from electrical and chemical activity in our brains.
